Fujieda MYFC is a football team playing in the Japan Football League funded by online subscribers. The team which is based in Fujieda, Shizuoka, is the first of its kind in Japan.
The club was formed in 2004 and was initially called Nelson Yoshimura Clube de Futebol, after the former Brazilian-born Japanese star who had died the previous year. In 2008 it became associated with the MyFC movement of fan ownership and renamed itself accordingly.
The first representative of Fujieda in the national leagues was Fujieda Municipal Wisteria, the city hall's club, which competed in the Japan Soccer League Division 2 in 1988. In 1991 the club belonging to local security company Chuo Bohan followed, staying in the Japan Football League until 1994 when it packed up and moved to Kyushu, becoming today's Avispa Fukuoka.
In 2009, the team was briefly managed by Kunishige Kamamoto.
In 2010, they absorbed former Shizuoka F.C. of the Tokai Football League Division 1 and became Shizuoka Fujieda MyFC, although most matches are played in Fujieda. (Fujieda borders Shizuoka city but has not merged with it, unlike Shimizu.)
On 2011, they took second place in the Regional Promotion Series and will play in the Japan Football League for the first time, becoming the third representative of the city in the national leagues.
